Terms and Conditions

All services booked directly through Clare Hillside Apartments are subject to the following Terms and Conditions. If you book a stay at our Apartments through a third party operator (such as a third party operator/website) additional terms and conditions (as notified by that third party operator) may apply.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as these conditions incorporate the basis on which bookings for our Apartments are accepted. The terms and conditions below are for all bookings.

We may revise these terms and conditions from time to time by updating this web page. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted.

Accommodation Booking Policy

Online bookings can be made through our secure online booking system via our website https://www.clarehillside.apartments/ which will ensure that you get instant confirmation and best available rates. Online bookings require either 50% payment if more than 30 days from arrival date to confirm the booking, or full payment with visa or mastercard at the time of booking if within 30 days of arrival. The final payment of your booking will be due at 30 days prior to arrival.

If you wish to have a tentative booking made (with no payment) for an agreed period of time, these can be requested via our email or phone.

Please do not exceed maximum guest numbers listed for each apartment type, or your booking may be cancelled without refund.

Bond/Security Deposit Policy

An amount of $100 will be pre-authorised against your booking on day of check-in. We will hold this deposit to cover any incidental charges incurred by you or any damage that you cause while staying at the Apartments (or any costs we incur in cleaning your room as a result of you leaving the room in an unreasonable condition at check-out). Any deductions from this amount will be discussed with you and a tax invoice for costs incurred will be issued. Clare Hillside Apartments will refund the bond within 24hours after the final guest departs. The timing of the release of the funds is controlled by your bank and may take up to 10 working days.

Car Parking

Car parking is provided onsite with your booking for one (1) vehicle (Deluxe 2 bedroom apartment has two (2) carparks).

Card Payment Surcharge

We accept only Visa and Mastercards and online payments incur a 1.5% non-refundable credit card fee in Australia. This amount will be applied at the time of payment and is in addition to the nightly rates.

Check in/Check out

  • Unless we agree or notify you otherwise, check-in is at 2pm and checkout is at 10am via our contactless Guest Portal link emailed to you.
  • A late check-out fee may apply if the property is not vacated prior to the set check-out time of 10am.

Fees for late checkouts will be $50 per hour or thereof past the agreed check-out time of 10am.

Requests for late checkout need to be sent to info@clareha.au 48 hours prior to check-in for consideration. Approved late checkout fees will apply as per above.

Check-in information will be sent to you via text and email on the day of arrival.

Child Policy

Children sleep free on existing bedding in the Apartment, within the maximum allowed guests per room (as notified by us).

If a portacot or highchair is required, please advise upon booking as we have a small number available at no charge subject to availability (prior booking required).

Children must be accompanied by at least one Adult at all times whilst in the Apartment and a room cannot be booked without an adult also staying with that Child.

For the purposes of this clause ‘Child’ or ‘Children’ means a person or persons aged between two (2) years and 17 years and ‘Adult’ means a person aged 18 years or over.

Cigarette/E-Cigarette-Free Policy

Clare Hillside Apartments are a fully Smoke-Free property (includes e-cigarettes). Smoking and e-cigarettes are prohibited both inside the apartments, on the apartment balconies and the entire grounds of the property. Any form of smoking/e-cigarettes in apartments will result in a $400 fee for having the room off-line for cleaning and deodorising, as well as any additional costs if emergency services attend due to smoke alarm being set off.  

Electric Vehicle Charger Policy

Five (5) of our apartments have EV chargers available. Please ensure you select the apartment with this facility attached and select that you require this add-on. The additional fee for this is $30/per night which will be added to your booking total at time of booking.

Group Bookings

Please contact info@clareha.au for group bookings of four (4) or more rooms if required – group bookings of three (3) apartments are able to be booked online. 

Internet Access

We offer inclusive Wi-Fi internet access allowing customers to connect to the internet.

Our Wi-Fi is operated by a third party and we therefore take no liability or responsibility (whilst you are using our Internet network or Wi-Fi) for:

  • The non-availability of the Internet network;
  • The speed of the internet network;
  • The availability or access to websites;
  • External intrusion;
  • Computer viruses you may obtain whilst using the network; or
  • Non-authorised online transactions or losses to you whilst using the network.

No Party Policy

We have a strict no party policy when staying with us. Please consider fellow guests and restrict offensive noise between 10pm and 8am. There is to be no outdoor music or outdoor entertaining after 10pm. Noise complaints will result in bond deductions and possible evictions.

Pet Policy

Strictly no pets are allowed in the apartments during your stay. Service Dogs are exempt from the pet policy.

Photo Identification

During pre-arrival preparation via our online Guest Portal, a valid Federal or State Government issued photo identification matching the name of the property guest registered on the booking must be uploaded. This is a pre-requisite to verifying your identity for apartment security purposes.

Your use of the Apartments

You agree to use the room in a reasonable manner in accordance with these terms and conditions during your stay and return the room to us at the end of your booking in the similar condition it was on check-in.

You further agree to be liable to us for the cost to repair any damage you (or any of your guests) cause to the Apartment during your stay and any excessive cleaning required as a result of you leaving the room (or any part of the property) in an excessively unclean state. The cost of such charges will be the costs we incur and cleaning will be charged at commercial rates (a minimum charge of $55 will apply and may increase depending on the excess cleaning required).

You authorise us to take any charges or costs from your credit card pre-authorisation provided by you at time of booking.

During your stay, we reserve the right to evict you from the Apartments if you (or any of your guests) are not complying with these terms and conditions, any directions from staff or we otherwise form the reasonable belief that of you, us or others at risk, or will bring Clare Hillside Apartments into disrepute. If you are evicted, the cost of the accommodation at the Apartments is non-refundable and you will be required to settle your account in full prior to your departure as well as any other costs we are entitled to receive or recover from you under these terms and conditions or as part of your booking.
